User Manual

1. Getting Started

The SOREX Manager can be downloaded here.

You have to pair your phone with your SOREX Door Phone & Code in order to configure it with the SOREX Manager App. To do this, follow these steps:

1.       Turn on Bluetooth “on” your mobile phone.

2.     Start the programming mode by entering the TÜR-PIN consisting of 6 digits and confirm by pressing OK.

3.      In you phone’s Bluetooth menu, look for a new device called “SOREX Door Phone & Code” and pair it with your phone.

4.     Enter the 6-digit numerical code on your mobile phone and confirm.

5.     Repeat these steps for every Door Phone & Code that is going to be configured.

Please note: For a more detailed guide refer to the Quick Starting Guide shipped with your SOREX Door Phone & Code.

When launching the app for the first time, the “My products” screen is empty. To add support for the SOREX Door Phone & Code, press the Plus Sign on the top-right corner and select “Door Phone & Code”.

Now “Door Phone & Code” will be visible on the “My products” screen. Tab it to get to the “Door Selection” screen, where you can manage your doors.

On the door selection screen, you can manage your SOREX Door Phone & Code devices, add new ones or delete old ones. To add a new door to your selection, follow these steps:

1.       Turn on Bluetooth “on” your mobile phone.

2.     Start the programming mode by entering the TÜR-PIN consisting of 6 digits and confirm by pressing OK.

3.      On the door selection screen, tab the plus sign on the upper right corner.

4.     Wait until your SOREX Door Phone & Code shows up on the list, and press its name to add it. After adding, you are automatically sent to this device’s configuration screen.

To delete a SOREX Door Phone & Code from the door selection screen again, return to the door selection screen. On iPhones, swipe the door you want to remove to the left, and press “Delete Door” to remove it from the list. On Android devices, push the door and hold until a context menu appears, where you can press “Delete Door” to remove it.

3.        The Door Info Screen

Please note: Make sure that your phone‘s Bluetooth is turned on and the SOREX Door Phone & Code has entered programming mode before trying to connect. Also, please note that after three minutes of inactivity the device will leave programming mode again.

Tab one of your devices’ names to enter the door info screen of this SOREX Door Phone & Code. Your phone will now connect to your door and enter the door info screen, where your device’s users are listed. You can use the search field to search for users that you have added previously. Over the search field there are three buttons: The first, labelled “open door” will open the door remotely. The other two buttons are used to sort the users by name, from A to Z or from Z to A.

To delete a user from the door info screen again, on iPhones, swipe the user you want to remove to the left, and press “Delete User” to remove it from the list. On Android devices, push the user and hold until a context menu appears, where you can press “Delete User” to remove them.

Please note: New users cannot by added using this application and have to be inserted using your SOREX Door Phone & Code instead.

3.1       The Edit User Screen

The edit user screen is accessed by tabbing a user’s name. Please note that these settings only apply to the current user, not to the others. After you are done, press the floppy disk icon on the top right to save your settings. Please note that Enable Touch and User Range are not available for code users. You can adjust the following settings:

  • Change User Name

Here you can enter this user’s name to help you identify your users.

  • Enable Touch

When this setting is enabled (default), the user has to press the OK button on the Door Phone & Code to unlock the door. If it is disabled, the doors unlock automatically whenever the user comes into reach. Afterwards, it can be opened with the OK button as well, as long as the user stays in range.

  • User Range

Use this setting to adjust the distance where your phone is recognised by your SOREX Door Phone & Code.

  • Lock User

With this setting, you can temporally disable a user without deleting them. Blocked users have a lock displayed next to their names in the door info screen.

  • Change PIN Code

Here you can change the PIN of code users or assign one to phone users so they can enter even without their phone.

3.2      The Edit Door Screen

Tab the gear icon on the top right corner to open the edit door screen. Here you can edit the settings of you SOREX Door Phone & Code. After you are done, press the floppy disk icon on the top right corner to save your settings. You can adjust the following settings:

  • Door Name

Here you can enter the name of this device/code to help you identify your doors. This name is also shown in your phone’s Bluetooth menu when trying to pair it with your Door Phone & Code.

  • Illumination Settings

This setting determines when the keyboard’s backlight is turned on. The possible settings are:

  • Always ON
  • Always OFF
  • On touch
  • On opening
  • Beeper Settings

Use this setting to adjust when the beep will be audible. The possible settings are:

  • ON
  • OFF
  • On touch
  • On touch and opening

3.3      The Access Protocol

Tab the icon left to the gear icon to see the Access Protocol. Here every opening of your SOREX Door Phone & Code is recorded with a time stamp.
