1.   Delivery Contents

After reception of the goods please check, if the scope of supply is complete. Included are:

-       SOREX Door Phone and Code module

-       Front panel in your ordered colour

-       Relay cable

-       Quick starting guide

-       Rubber gasket ring

-       Instructions for testing of functionality

-       Wiring plan

-       Envelope with Default-PIN (for use of electrician). Inside are two stickers (see Figure 1 and Figure 2) with the Tür-PIN (only for end user)

The power adapter is not included in delivery.

2.   Assembly

The SOREX Door Phone & Code can be installed either directly on the door panel or on the wall next to the door.

For the assembly the following cables are necessary. A picture of the cables, which are necessary for the assembly, can be seen in Figure 3.

For the proper assembly please follow these steps:

Please note that there is a separate document for the wiring diagrams.

Wiring:

a.     Connect the positive pole to the white cable.

b.     Connect the negative pole to the brown cable.

Please note: The power supply unit must not be supplied with power yet.

Depending on the type of electronic lock you are using, there are 3 different option for wiring:

1.    Put the rubber gasket ring over the SOREX Door Phone & Code module.

2.    Mount the SOREX Door Phone & Code on the door panel or on the wall next to the door.*
To mount the SOREX Door Phone & Code, a milling groove is necessary. You can find the milling groove diagram on the next page. The SOREX Door Phone & Code is secured by four clamps on the sides.

*Attention: If it is decided to install the SOREX Door Phone & Code on the wall, the relay has to be mounted in a secured area. This is necessary to avoid manipulation.

3.    Slide the front panel from top to bottom onto the SOREX Door Phone & Code. Now it is possible to change the factory settings, to connect a mobile phone with the SOREX Door Phone & Code and to enter a new code.

4.    To prevent water from entering, seal the SOREX Door Phone & Code with silicone or acrylic.
The silicone or acrylic has to be put between the front panel and the door panel/wall. To prevent water from entering, there must not be a gap.

5.    Connect the power supply unit to power.
Please be aware that the correct functioning of the numerical keyboard is only ensured, if the device is connected to power after the assembly of the front panel.

4.   Using the numerical keypad

Up to 18 different codes can be programmed on the SOREX Door Phone & Code.

4.1   Programming a new code

Please follow the steps bellow to program a new code.

Please note:

-       If one code is entered repeatedly during this procedure, the code will be deleted (see chapter 4.2).

-       A code which has already been programmed through the app cannot be programmed again.

4.2   Deleting a code

To delete one of the programmed codes for the keypad, please follow the steps below. For deleting a code via app, please consult the user manual for the SOREX app.

Please note: If a code was assigned to a mobile phone user via app, only the code for the keyboard will be deleted. The mobile phone user can still access the door using his/her phone.

4.3   Assigning a code to a mobile phone user

To assign a code to a mobile phone user, the app has to be used. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX Manager app.

5.   Using a mobile phone

In total, you can connect up to 6 mobile phones with the SOREX Door Phone & Code.

5.1   Pairing a mobile phone

Please follow the steps below to connect a mobile phone with the SOREX Door Phone & Code.

Tip: If you want to administer mobile phone users via app, first name the newly added mobile phone user, before pairing more phones. By doing so, confusion will be avoided.

The SOREX Door Phone & Code can be administered by using the especially designed app. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX app.

5.2   Deleting a mobile phone

To eliminate a mobile phone from the list of paired devices, please use the app. This will be explained in more detail in the user manual for the SOREX app.

Please note: To completely remove a mobile phone from the list of paired devices, it is not sufficient to delete the “SOREX Door Phone & Code” from the Bluetooth settings of your phone. For further information on how to delete a mobile phone from the SOREX Door Phone & Code device, refer to chapter 5.4.

5.3   Deleting all paired mobile phones

To delete all mobile phones, as well as to reset the SOREX Door Phone & Code to factory settings, a factory reset can be performed. For more information refer to chapter 8.

5.4   One-sided termination of pairing

If you have deleted the device “SOREX Door Phone and Code” from the list of paired devices on your mobile phone, it is no longer possible to open the door. However, the pairing on the side of the “SOREX Door Phone and Code” has not been terminated. Therefore, you will automatically receive a request to connect with the “SOREX Door Phone and Code”, if you approach the device. In some cases, the request to connect will only appear, if Bluetooth settings are opened.

If you wish to reconnect with the “SOREX Door Phone and Code”, follow the steps below.

If you do not wish to reconnect with the “SOREX Door Phone and Code”, the mobile phone has to be deleted from the device. To do so, refer to the user manual for the SOREX app.

5.5   Temporarily blocking a mobile phone from access

A user can be blocked temporarily. This can be adjusted with the app. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX Manager app.

6.   Settings

Most settings of der SOREX Door Phone & Code can only be administered by using the app. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX app for more information on the app. The duration of the relay circuit time can be changed directly on the numerical keyboard.

6.1   Reactivation time

The time for reactivation of the SOREX Door Phone & Code is 2 seconds.

6.2   Duration of the relay circuit

To change the settings concerning the duration of the relay circuit, follow the steps below. Depending on your preference type in the following digits:

            1 second:        000000

            5 seconds:      010000

6.3   User–specific setting of the detection range/touch-function

To make individual changes to the settings of the detection range and the touch function, the app is necessary. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX app.

6.4   Setting the lighting

To change settings of the lighting, the app is necessary. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX app.

6.5   Setting the beeper

To change settings of the beeper, the app is necessary. Please refer to the user manual for the SOREX app.

7.   Opening procedure

7.1   Opening with the mobile phone

To successfully open a door, the following requirements have to be met:

-       The mobile phone has to be entitled (see chapter 5.1)

-       Bluetooth on your mobile phone is switched on.

-       You are located within the detection range of the device. Your mobile phone has been recognized if the door unlocks (touch function deactivated), or if the green LED on the keypad starts blinking (touch function activated).

-       If the touch function is activated, you have to confirm with OK to open the door.

Please note: If the touch function is deactivated, it is not necessary to confirm with OK to open the door.

7.2   Opening by entering a code

To open the door with a code, you only have to type in your personal Tür-PIN and confirm with OK.

Please note: If you hear one long, deep beep, and if the red LED lights up, either a blocked or a wrong Tür-PIN was entered.

8.   Factory reset

To carry out a factory reset, follow the steps mentioned below:

The SOREX Door Phone & Code is now in its normal operating mode. The programming mode and the mode “overwrite Dip-switch” have been left.

The product is subject to the lawful warranty according to Austrian law. If warranty claims arise, the bill has to be shown for proof.

SOREX Wireless Solutions GmbH is not liable for damages or injuries, which are caused by improper usage/handling or usage against the instructions of the user manual.
